FIFA Legends and its partner CIES are proud to announce the launch of an innovative educational programme starting in 2022, The Next 90, who is aimed at providing former footballers with the skills, tools and confidence to succeed in careers beyond football, when their playing days are over.

Apply NOW to the FIFA Master – The Leading Sport Management Course in Europe!

As of 1st October 2021, the International Centre for Sports Studies (CIES) has officially opened the application process for the 23rd edition (2022-2023) of the FIFA Master.

The FIFA Master - International Master in Management, Law and Humanities of Sport recently celebrated its 20th anniversary. Organised by the International Centre for Sport Studies (CIES) in partnership with De Montfort University in Leicester (England), SDA Bocconi School of Management in Milan (Italy) and the University of Neuchâtel (Switzerland), the course is a top graduate programme developing all-round managers who can cope with the increasingly complex world of sport.

CIES signs partnership agreement in Puerto Rico

The International Centre for Sports Studies (CIES) recently signed a partnership agreement with the Universidad de Puerto Rico - Recinto de Mayagüez (UPRM) and the Federación Puertorriqueña de Fútbol (FPF) in order to offer the FIFA/CIES International Programme in Sports Management to Spanish-speaking people from Puerto Rico, the Caribbean and the United States.

Kick-off FIFA Executive Programme for Asian and Oceanian Member Associations (MAs)

Aligned with FIFA’s commitment to support and develop football leaders and administrators within Member Associations (MAs), FIFA has successfully launched this week the Football Executive Programme for Asian and Oceanian MAs in partnership with the International Centre for Sports Studies (CIES).

Record high for expatriate players in European football

After the drop in 2020 within the context of the pandemic, the part of players imported from abroad in the squads of teams from 31 European top divisions has started to rise again. This is one of the main findings from the annual census carried out since 2009 by the CIES Football Observatory research team, published in the 69th edition of the Monthly Report.
