Round table for the official opening of WISE - Work In Sport Exhibition

Round Table (in French): "Brazil, from the World Cup 2014 to the Olympic Games 2016. The legacy of major sporting events"

 

2014 will be an eventful year for sporting events. Besides the Winter Olympic Games in Sochi in February, Brazil will welcome the FIFA World Cup in June and July. In 2016, Brazil will again be under the spotlights as they set to host the Summer Olympic Games.

These worldwide events can be considered an important catalyst for the host country and it should help Brazil. Belonging to the emerging countries (BRICS), Brazil is developing itself in the sporting, economic, social and environmental fields.

Experience the FIFA Master Milan feeling: two months with our students

The FIFA Master 14th edition at Ferrari

 

The FIFA Master experience in Milano reached the halfway stage by focusing on two interesting and outstanding sub-modules: Sports Marketing and Strategic Sports Management. These sub-modules gave us the opportunity to explore the most important elements within a sports organization and to develop the skills needed to make such organizations more successful.

Different marketing areas have been explained, covering everything from general web content, design concepts, sponsoring, branding and brand equity to the organizational lifecycle of an organization.

A success story in South Africa

Sharif Gamiet, Alumnus of the FIFA/CIES Programme

 

Sharif Gamiet, an alumnus of the FIFA/CIES Programme in sport management organised in cooperation with Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University in Port Elizabeth, has just been appointed General Manager of the Eastern Province Rugby Union in South Africa.

“The roof of my house nearly came down on us”, exclaimed Sharif when he received news of his very flattering appointment.

Exclusive data from the 2014 World Cup Preview

 

The 67th edition of the Big-5 Weekly Post reveals exclusive data taken from the 2014 World Cup Preview published today by the CIES Football Observatory.

This new publication analyses the profile of players used by each national team during the qualification process for the competition. For Brazil, we took into account footballers employed both in friendly matches played during the qualification phase and the Confederations Cup.
