Graduation Ceremony for the students of the FIFA Master 15th edition

The graduation ceremony for the students who successfully completed the 15th edition of the FIFA Master took place in the Grand Council Room at the Chateau of Neuchâtel on Friday 17th July 2015.

This important event was opened by CIES President, Bertrand Reeb, who welcomed the 15th edition class, their families, friends and distinguished guests to the graduation ceremony.

Third CIES and Dentsu co-hosted seminar held in Tokyo

Seminar on the theme of "The radical change of Asian football" at Dentsu Hall, Shiodome, Tokyo, July 13 2015

 

Following the huge success in December last year of the co-hosted CIES and Dentsu seminar, a third event was held at the Dentsu Hall in Tokyo on the theme of "The radical change of Asian football" on 13th July 2015.

The latest event was yet again highly successful and featured prestigious speakers such as newly elected FIFA executive committee member Mr Kozo Tashima.

Chile: Seminar on "The Legacy of Mega Sporting Events"

Seminar on the “academic event” of the Copa America, organised by UST and CIES

 

The Institute of Sports Sciences (ISS) at Universidad Santo Tomás (UST), in cooperation with the FIFA/CIES International University Network and the Chilean Association of Sports Journalists, organised a seminar on the theme of “the legacy of mega sporting events” last week.

The event - which also welcomed international speakers - took place in Santiago, in the ISS auditorium which is part of the Olympic Training Centre.

FIFA Master Conference: Presentation of dissertations 2015

7 projects were presented for the FIFA Master 15th edition

 

The dissertation presentations marking the end of the academic year for the 31 postgraduates of the 15th edition of the FIFA Master took place on Thursday 16th July 2015 in Neuchâtel, Switzerland.

The postgraduates of the 15th edition had the opportunity to present their work to a large audience in the prestigious surroundings of the auditorium of the Aula des Jeunes-Rives at the University of Neuchâtel. Specially invited presentation guests included senior representatives from the sports industry, high profile members of the international academic community as well as family and friends of each FIFA Master student.

Record high of expatriates in the best ranked teams

Update of the exclusive database on the demographic features of big-5 league players

 

The CIES Football Observatory is happy to announce the update of its exclusive database on the demographic features of big-5 league players. This interactive tool now includes data from 2010/11 up until the 2014/15 season.

It allows users to compare the five major European championships in terms of age, height, club-trained players, full internationals, expatriates and squad stability.

Spain: On the way to the 6th edition of the FIFA/CIES Programme

Launch of the FIFA/CIES Programme 6th edition in Spain

 

Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (URJC) in Madrid and the Real Federación Española de Fútbol (RFEF) have officially launched the registration process for the sixth edition of the FIFA/CIES Programme in sport management. Classes will start on 16 October.

Over 190 students from different sporting and professional horizons have already completed this Programme. Created in cooperation with FIFA, the programme is open to all sporting practices and organisations.
