The “Sport and Future” international conference successfully took place during the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™ in Moscow on 29 June 2018. Organised by the Higher School of Economics (HSE) in Moscow, the International Centre for Sports Studies (CIES), and the FIFA Master Alumni Association (FMA), with the support of the Football Union of Russia (FUR). The event gathered over 300 representatives from international sporting organisations, leading experts on worldwide sports and the heads of international and national football associations, leagues and clubs.

Picture: FIFA Master 18th Edition at the Graduation Ceremony in Neuchâtel, Switzerland

The Graduation Ceremony for the 18th edition FIFA Master class was held in the Grand Council Room at the Chateau of Neuchâtel on Friday 13th July 2018.

This important event was opened by Pierre Cornu, President of CIES Foundation Council, by calling the postgraduates to enter the room. The 18th edition class, their families, friends and distinguished guests were all warmly welcomed to the Graduation Ceremony.

Every month since January 2015, the CIES Football Observatory has been publishing reports to inform football stakeholders and all people passionate about the beautiful game on the latest trends observed at sporting, demographic and economic level. For the first time, the papers written during the 2017/18 season were gathered within a “Football Analytics” e-book.
