Weekly Post number 253 presents the aggregated transfer value of big-5 league clubs. According to the algorithm exclusively developed by the CIES Football Observatory, the estimated value of the squad of five teams is over one billion euro. Four of them are from the Premier League, which reflects the financial power of the English top division. Barcelona is the best-ranked non-English team.

What a month this has been! Our lives as FIFA Master students couldn’t have been more intense and filled with memorable experiences!

We kicked off the month of February with Sports Marketing classes and important guest speakers, such as Andrea Ceraico, who is the General Director at Red Bull Italia, and Simone Santini, Vice President Sales at Adidas group.

The Jury responsible for awarding the 2019 FIFA/CIES University Network Prize held its annual meeting in Milano on 20 February 2019.

The project “Plan de desarrollo del fútbol y de la Liga femenina en Argentina” (A Development Plan for Football and the Women’s League in Argentina), written by Fernando Romano, Gonzalo Huerta, Lucia González and Mariana Detoni, was finally selected as the winner from the 14 projects shortlisted for the prize.
