While the COVID pandemic has brought a considerable drop in the level of investments on the transfer market, footballers signed for money by big-5 league teams during the last transfer window were paid on average 6% more than players with similar characteristics during the summer 2019. The students of the 21st edition of the FIFA Master arrived in Leicester on the weekend of 19th/20th September 2020 ready to begin their academic journey on the course. However, in order to comply with current regulations, the class were first required to complete a quarantine period in their halls of residence.
