Player migration report: Brazil chased by France

The CIES Football Observatory just disclosed a report analysing the presence of expatriate footballers in 145 leagues from 96 national associations worldwide. With 1,287 players abroad, Brazil tops the rankings for exporting countries. However, while the number of Brazilians went down by 14 compared to 2020, that of the second most represented nation abroad, France, increased by 124 to reach a new record high of 946.

Off to Neuchatel for the final act of the FIFA Master

As the SDA Bocconi Module was successfully completed, the FIFA Master 21st Edition class said goodbye to Milan and headed to lovely Neuchatel, Switzerland, and straight to the heart of international sport. After a well-deserved spring break and despite the pandemic turmoil, the module on Sport Law officially began on Tuesday, 6th April.

Some impressions on the education programmes of the CIES (part two)

In September 2020, five former students of the FIFA/CIES Executive Programme in Sport Management started the 21st edition of the FIFA Master at De Montfort University in Leicester (England). In this series, three of them provide us with their impressions of the education programmes offered by CIES and also their career paths in sport. Today, we meet Rebecca Jardim, a graduate from Federação Getulio Vargas (FGV) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
